Well, this book isn't really on the market right now (although I have a bunch of cheaply and a few professionally made copies lying about my apartment), but I did publish a dark fantasy about 2 years ago with the title The Defiler's Rule: Pure Intensity. Unfortunately, it really was not ready for publication; I should have done more work on it first (although the published version isn't bad). I also did not have the patience or the motivation to deal with booksellers who did not want book signings from newly published authors from places like AuthorHouse, so I basically let it go.

Still, I learned a lot from the experience and by getting involved with writers' communities online. I think it was worth it.

Anyway, I've completely revised the manuscript and changed the title, so I'm in the process of trying to submit it to agents as a different book (albeit based on the same story). Now I call it Coven of the Worm Book One: Estranged Earth.

But if anyone would like to purchase a spare copy or two, I'm selling the cheapies for $3.00 each (plus shipping), and the AuthorHouse copies for $5.00 each (plus shipping). With the cheapies, which I never should have printed in the first place, I'm just trying get back part of what I paid for them (which was $7.00 per copy). Of course, I'll sign them too, if you wish. Maybe we'll get lucky one day and the signed copies will be worth something? Wink

If you're interested, just email me at tolfantasy@cavtel.net.

Oh, just realized this. Why should anyone buy a book without some idea of what it's about? Here's a brief summary of Pure Intensity:

Linda Caldwell attends Putty Hill Senior High with her friends Jane and Candy, where she meets and falls in love with an intriguing young man named David Yeng-Chi.

David seems perfect for her, but he has a dark secret. His father Hamaki had trained him to use a deadly mix of martial arts and magic in the service of his god—Chai'Huon Ju, the Defiler. David is a descendent of the Worm Clan of a long forgotten prehistoric nation called Hunjan. There were other gods and different beliefs among these people, but the Worm Clan had believed in Chai'Huon Ju's legacy of evil.

As the relationship between David and Linda grows, Linda begins to have prophetic dreams warning her to stay away from him. The visions are so insistent and frightening that she surrenders to them and breaks up with David. Enraged, David resolves to have revenge by conjuring his god to Earth. He releases Pure Intensity, which raises his power exponentially.

Linda has a secret too, however—one that might help to save her soul from the Defiler. Prophecy was merely the first of her abilities to develop and—she soon discovers—there were more powers to come.

Oh, sorry.  I'm no longer selling these books.  Since I want to republish, people have advised me that - in this case - the fewer copies sold the better.  I've only sold a handful of copies, so publishers will look at this book as if it has never been published at all.
