SDF MacrossThis is looking pretty good so far. Now I've seen all of Robotech, but I haven't seen the series that it's based on. So far, there's very little difference. Some of the names were changed, the Zentradi seem be using more vehicles, etc., and the aircraft look slightly different, among other things, but very close otherwise. I expect that might change later. We'll see.
The only thing that bugs me is that I can't figure out why the Zentradi are there. In Robotech it was clear: they were looking for the SDF. However, in Macross, they act like they have no idea what the SDF is, and they're just "curious" about it. I just don't get it. If they're not looking for the SDF, then why did they come anywhere near the Earth in the first place?
EDIT: Okay, although it's still pretty much the same, the titles do deviate on ep4: "Lynn Minmay" for Macross and "The Long Wait" for Robotech.
