Hello Everyone...I'm new!I live in Columbia, SC, and have been a Wiccan for 11 years. I am an Green Witch/Faery Witch, a vegetarian, gardener, and have been involved in feral cat rescue for 30+ years. I currently have 6 housecats (all tamed ferals or abandoned strays) and a feral colony of 6 cats I care for. There were 21 cats in this colony over a year ago, but I slowly got them all spayed and neutered and have been finding homes for them.
I am a novelist and poet by profession and run a publishing company called Kittyfeather Press. I write The Witchery Series, my series of magickal urban fantasy novels. Each novel in the series weaves an entertaining story, as well as including useful information about feral cat rescue, how to shrink uterine fibroids naturally, herbal remedies, surviving perimenopause, and more.
Over a thousand of my short stories and poems have appeared in literary journals, magazines, and anthologies worldwide. I have been blessed to win many awards, most recently the Muses Prize Best Poet of the Year. I am also the recipient of a Pulitzer Prize nomination and seven Pushcart Award nominations, and the author of more than thirty-five novels and poetry books.
I have been married for 28 years and live in a house next to a state forest, which is where my feral colony lives. I am a big fan of urban fantasy novels, and my favorite authors (so far) are Lilith Saintcrow, Jim Butcher, and Charlaine Harris. My husband is a fan of trad fantasy, but I prefer a more contemporary setting, so I stick with the urban genre. I have a very long TBR list (lol) that I carry with me in my purse, because I never know when I will be near a bookstore (big fun!!!...I'm such a book addict).
I'm happy to be a member of this forum, and look forward to adding many more books to my TBR list from the suggestions of the members here.
Magickal Blessings!

Hi, Laura. Welcome to Tower of Light!
It's nice to have another eclectic around, too. I think of myself as a "solitary eclectic Christian," even if that does sound like a contracdiction (I am nothing if not contradictory). I did some soul searching years ago, and perused Wicca, Witta, Traditional Witchcraft, and several different myth cycles. I have always been a panentheist philosophically, so Wicca and Witta were kind of appealing to me.
My current WIP is a dark urban fantasy, and it involves panentheistic philosophy and the research I've done on the various "Witchcraft" religions. The first book may seem to cast Witchcraft in a dark light, but it doesn't really, which should hopefully be apparent when the character "Shaman" appears (who is definitely an eclectic Witch). So, as you can see, urban fantasy is also one of my favorites.
Congratulations on your awards! That's always a boon to any writer. I'm very happy to have another writer on board! You should make an excellent addition to Tower of Light. Enjoy your stay!
