I would love to see a movie or two made from Jim Butcher's "The Dresden Files" novel series. I know they created a TV show from it that was gone after one season. I saw one show and didn't like the way they changed all the characters, so I'm not surprised. But a movie that captures that series accurately would be great.
I was blown away by the vampire character, Henry Fitzroy, in Tanya Huff's "Blood Books" series. And would love to see a movie made from one or more of those novels. I hear they did create a TV show from it in Canada but I never saw it, and don't know if it is still on.
I also think the first novel in the "Dante Valentine" series by Lilith Saintcrow would make a wonderful movie. The character of the demon, Japhrimel, is fantastic, and I'd love to see him come to life on the big screen.
What fantasy novels have you read that you would like to see made into movies?

Agreed on this, I feel it could translate really well into a film.
Also the Night Angel trilogy by Brent Weeks could probably make a pretty decent series of films I think. |

I haven't read any of them, although I did see a few episodes of both shows based on The Dresden Files (Sci-Fi Channel) and the Blood Books. The second, while I don't recall the title, was on Lifetime, I think. It was some sort of vampire/soap opera thing that wasn't bad, but it was still a vampire/soap opera...
There is a book I've read not long ago that I think would make a great movie, though: Elantris by Brandon Sanderson. I'm already picturing it in my head.
