I had to rate this one as 'awesome'. I really enjoyed it, the tone was set perfectly - and was maintained successfuly throughout as well. The narrative/dialogue was well written, consistent and well paced (very well paced, which seems to me to be important in such a short story).

I voted awesome because I enjoyed this one so much! Absolutely loved the humor and style, and anything with dire chickens in Hell is made of win.  Also love the barbarian!
I do very much hope to see more work by John Parke Davis in the future (here and elsewhere).
