Although a good movie, it seems to imply that goddess worshipers in general are "evil," that they engage in human sacrifice. This is too much like a particularly offensive article I read a few years ago.

Well, it's been a little while now since I've seen it, but I'll try.

It's starring Nick Cage as a police officer who receives a letter from his ex-fiancee about a missing child. She lives on an island populated by Goddess worshipers, which he finds out when goes there to investigate. What he thinks he learns is that these people may have performed a child sacrifice using a little girl, or that they might have hidden the girl to do so at a later date. By the time he finds out the truth, it's too late for him.

It was a good movie, and I enjoyed it, I just wasn't too fond of the implication.

Hmm. Not sure off hand. I remember seeing the previews for it a few years ago, I think.
