Hi, I'm Michael and this is my site. I hope that plenty of people will want to join the forums and participate in great discussions about science fiction and fantasy. Everyone is welcome!
My favorite science fiction would have to be the Ender and Shadow series by Orson Scott Card. My favorite fantasy is The Second Chronicles of Thomas Covenant the Unbeliever by Stephen Donaldson (although Zelazny's Amber series is a close second).
I also write fantasy and plan to attempt a science fiction in the future. I have published one book (and another that I co-authored), but that didn't work out very well. That's mostly because it wasn't ready to be published and I'm not good at leg work.
Besides this forum, I'm also a member of the Chronicles Network, which is my favorite science fiction and fantasy community on the Web. If you'd like to check it out, you can find a link in the Links Menu on the Gallery page.
So, anyone who joins, come and say hello and tell me about yourself. I look forward to meeting new members!

Hi Michael-
Just a quick hello from one of the writers whose work you selected for the ezine. I wrote the weird piece about the suicidal girl who finds a door to the Greek underworld behind a frat house. I admit I was a bit sluggish to register as a member, though I've poked around as a guest plenty of times, and kept tabs on the thread over at AbsoluteWrite. I was sorry to hear that the ezine was put on hiatus, though I can't say it's surprising given the dismal economic conditions, and I just wanted to commend you for working so hard to keep this going. Other people might have folded up. But, all in all, the forum format is quite readable, and anyone who wants to get to the forum for the ezine can do so. So...very cool.
I don't know if this is the right topic thread to post this in, but since it's my first post, consider it an introduction. Thanks very much for your efforts, giving readers a place to go for some good, quick fantasy. And the manga-style cover art for the Winter 2009 issue was extremely pretty.
