Downloading Blues

In the past few weeks I have attempted to download and install about 15 online games. 7 of them worked just fine and still do. On the other hand, the rest either would not download at all (no matter how many times I tried), would not install afterward, or would not work after installation. No amount of support from the sites has helped either. It amazes me that some will work and others won't, and it's really frustrating. Good thing they're free; if I'd paid for them, I'd really be mad.

I don't need that many games, of course. Some of them are for my son, and the others that I have already aren't bad (especially 2Moons - I really like that one), but I was beginning to feel like they were missing something - some subtle attraction that I feel with console games. So I just wanted to find one more that was really interesting. Most of them seem pretty much the same to me, however, and the ones that aren't are pay to play (although there's one that's free but you can only download the client from a subscription site). There's one or two that seemed different, but they're the ones that I can't get to work - and one will be shutting down its NA and EU servers in a month.

It just doesn't make sense to me that some work and some don't. Well, I guess that's the Net for you... Rolling Eyes
